About My Burnout Score
Why this tool was built
Most burnout resources tell you that you are burned out — but not why. They describe the symptoms, confirm what you already suspect, and leave you no clearer on what to actually do about it.
My Burnout Score was built to solve that. Instead of giving you a single vague label, it identifies the specific drivers that are most elevated for you — so you can take targeted action on the right things, rather than feeling overwhelmed by burnout as a whole concept.
What the score measures
The quiz assesses eight clinically-recognised burnout drivers, each mapped to a single question. These drivers reflect the most well-established causes of work-related burnout in the research literature:
Your two most elevated drivers are identified and used to generate personalised, specific action steps — not generic self-care advice.
How the score is calculated
Each question has four response options worth 0, 1, 2, or 3 points. Your raw score across all eight questions is scaled to a 0–100 range, making it easy to track and compare over time. Higher scores indicate more elevated drivers and greater overall pressure on your system.
The score falls into one of four bands: Holding steady (0–29), Early warning signs (30–54), Running on fumes (55–74), or Burnout territory (75–100). Each band comes with a plain-language description and a set of targeted action steps based on your specific results.
Privacy commitment
No data is collected, stored, or transmitted — ever. The quiz runs entirely in your browser. Your answers and your score exist only on your device during your session and are cleared the moment you close or refresh the page. There is no account, no sign-up, and no way for us to know how you scored.
A note on medical use
My Burnout Score is not a medical or diagnostic tool. It is a self-assessment tool designed to help you reflect on your current workload and wellbeing. If you are experiencing significant distress, please speak with a healthcare professional, your HR team, or a trusted person in your life.
